Grace's Vest Pattern

This is a cozy colorwork vest worked in panels for the body and using my special colorwork technique to include the checks as you go. The panels are knitted flat and then seamed at the end. Sleeve ribbing and a collar are then added by picking up the stitches.
The colorwork technique requires that you know how to do both the Continental and English knitting methods and definitely takes some getting used to. This is why I recommend this pattern for intermediate to advanced knitters. Once you have the technique down though the pattern is fairly simple!
There are two main colors and one contrasting color (if desired) for the ribbing and cuffs.
For this sweater I knit with Impeccable Yarn from Loops & Threads that you can buy at Michael’s or Joann’s. Any worsted weight yarn will work as long as you get gauge, but I love Impeccable because it is so cheap and still really nice and warm and soft. I am a loooooose knitter so if you are a normal or tight knitter expect to size up in needles to match gauge or go up a weight class for your yarn.
Estimated yardage is as follows:
You will need approx 240(290, 320, 325, 330)(340, 345, 350, 355) yds of each main color. Each size should require less than 50g of contrasting color.
This pattern will include video tutorials for continental and english knitting, picking up slipped stitches, sloped bind off, and most importantly my special colorwork technique!
