This is a quick tank pattern with a front design added using duplicate stitch. The tank is knitted in front and back panels, then color work is added before the tank is seamed and neck and arm borders are added in seed stitch. There are 3 color work charts to choose from, based on size and preference.
There is one main color and one contrasting color used for duplicate stitch. It is important that the yarns used are the same weight and fiber content, although it isn’t imperative for them to be the same brand. You can use whatever yarn brand and fiber content you want - just remember that you need to match gauge! I chose to knit mine in 100% cotton to make it a summer top but you could easily use any other fiber content.
Each size will only require one ball of each contrasting color. You don’t need a huge amount of yarn for the colorwork, so feel free to play around and use up scraps in your design! My testers used between 10 and 30 yards for the color work.
You will need approx 345(350, 415, 475, 550)(600, 700, 795, 955, 1100) yds.
This is a beginner friendly pattern with some advanced techniques that I have linked tutorial videos for.
